Benjamin Zephaniah

Benjamin Zephaniah is a household name in British modern poetry. He had very humble beginnings and he dropped out of school at the tender age of 13, because he couldn’t read and write. Although he had served a time in prison at a young age, he turned his life around. His passion has driven him to scoop over 5 awards, with over 24 works to his name. He has also performed on every continent on this globe.

His way of giving back to community is via the messages contained in his works and mentoring at the poetry society ambassadors’ programme.
