Every day, younger people are striving ahead. Barbara Kasumu is one such outstanding youth, who is a role model to many. At age 28, she stands as co-founder of Elevation Network, whose sole aim is to bring a viable solution to the unemployment menace among the youth.

Driven by a passion to help people, her organization works with government in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. She targets groups that are underrepresented in certain industries or in the labour market in general- such as youths from poorer backgrounds, and those not in employment, training or education, ethnic minorities, and women. She is a columnist for the Telegraph magazine and has also been a UK delegate in many international conferences including the G8 and G20 Canada summit in 2010.

She says that the transformation she sees in the young people drives her to keep running Elevation Network.
