Adebayo Ogunlesi, Owner of Gatwick Airport. London UK.

Adebayo Ogunlesi is the chairman and managing partner, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), an independent investment fund based in New York City with worldwide stake in infrastructure assets. As well as being the new owner of the London Gatwick Airport, His Company also owns majority of the shares (75%) of London City’s Airport.

He was surrounded with role models as a child. His father was the first Nigerian-born professor of medicine and lectured at one of the country’s best Universities, University of Ibadan. Mr Ogunlesi attended his secondary school in Lagos at King’s College and then he went ahead to study philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford where he graduated at the top of his class, and later earned law and business degrees from Harvard. At Harvard, he was an outstanding student, becoming one of the first two editors of African descent to serve together on the influential Harvard Law Review.
